  1. Tasha,
Welcome to the blogging world! I enjoyed your post and remember quite vividly setting up my classrooms years ago. I like your steps along the way, especially the visual of twirling around your room to be able to see all sides. I wonder if there is another perspective that we as teachers miss when we embark on this setup alone. Perhaps one thing that would add even more depth to your steps is to include students in the conversation. If our goal is to set up a classroom that is open, inviting, safe, and encouraging/inviting to learn in, then the ultimate user– the student– needs a voice as well, right? I wonder how our classroom setups would change if we invited students into the conversation.

    • Thank you so much for the warm words of welcome! I am so thrilled to join the wonderful world of blogging. The steps definitely helped me along the way, however adding the student view, I learned a little later in my teaching career. Including the students input into classroom set up is a step that I will probably blog about all on its own! I love their voices and choices for the place they call ‘home’ for learning. Once I had entered the world of administration, it has always been my passion to inspire and lead other teachers on this quest. Thank you so much again for reading my blog! I look forward to working with you and your family this year. Welcome to MVPS!
